Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna – Gagan Narang, Arjuna, Dronacharya and Dhyan Chand award winners 2010 – 2011

India‘s ace shooter Gagan Narang has been conferred with Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award by President Pratibha Patil at the Rashtrapati Bhawan on Monday (29-08-2011). Narang collected the trophy that consists of a medal, citation and cash prize of Rs 7.5 lakh from President Pratibha Patil.
The Arjuna, Dronacharya and Dhyan Chand awardees got statuettes, citations and cash prize of Rs 5 lakh each.
Every year August 29 (Hockey Legend Major Dhyan Chand Singh’s Birthday, August 29, 1905) is celebrated as National Sports Day in India.
